Precise measurement of the material properties is the most important prerequisite for optimum development of the potential of the fibers during fiber treatment. The components in the suspension are specified in detail in the pulp laboratory and all standard tests are performed on the lab sheet. This means that it is also possible to adjust chemical additives during the tests.
The different quality demands on graphic papers require a wide variety of measurements which are often also very time-consuming. The paper produced at the PTC is measured quickly and with maximum precision at the paper lab. This ensures high consistency of the paper quality produced during the test phase.
Voith has equipped the PTC with its own technical printing laboratory in which the conventional printing processes can be simulated. In addition, the paper can be printed on industrial printing machines. |
